Wildflower Garden Blend

Form gorgeous carpets of low growing wildflowers reaching around 20-50cm in height. A blend ideal for sites where height is a consideration. Create greater biodiversity in your urban berm, or a low maintenance garden bed to attract pollinators to your garden and provide wildflowers for posies.

This blend contains over 20 flowering varieties that are dwarf or low-growing including nigella, cornflower, mignonette, wallflower, dianthus, zinnia, impatiens, flax flowering, calendula, lupin, candytuft, marigold, gypshopilia, coreopsis, silene, virginian stock, cosmos, poppy, buckwheat, delphinium, phlox  and many others. 

A blend of annuals. The annuals should self-seed, although it can often help to over-sow the second year to establish the flowers as the dominant species over unwanted weeds. 

Sow 3-5g per 10 square metres.

Wildflower Sowing Instructions

1. For best results sow in weed free soil
2. Prepare the soil to a fine consistency
3. For ease of sowing, mix the seed with seed raising mix; 1g seed to 100g of mix
4. Broadcast half the mix East-West, and half North-South for even spread
5. Lightly rake the soil to cover the seed
6. Water the whole area well with a fine spray
7. Keep soil moist during germination and establishment
