Organic Pea

Peas are legumes which are a good source of protein and provide excellent satiety when consumed as a snack or incorporated in a meal. A more versatile sprout, they can be eaten raw or included into cooked dishes. Peas are very nutritious containing vitamins B1, B3, C and E, folic acid and lysine. High in soluble fibre which can reduce the absorption of cholesterol and may benefit blood pressure and regulate blood sugars. For best eating and digestibility, harvest when the shoot is the same size as the seed.
