Highly aromatic perennial of the mint family with a pleasant mandarin-orange fragrance. Popular for teas, infusions, pot pourri and in fragrant gardens or rockeries. Cut leaves continuously from spring to autumn. Leaves may also be dried.
The flowers full of nectar appear during summer and are helpful to attract pollinators to your garden.
Similar to lemon balm, it has a spreading growth habit so regular digging out and clipping back can be beneficial, or plant in a container.
Grows best in fertile, well-drained soil with good air circulation.
Surface Sow: Requires light to germinate. Scatter seed on the surface. press seed down into the soil. Keep moist.
