Green Manure Organic Matter Blend

Very effective spring planted cover crop or can be sown late summer to provide stubble and seed for wildlife and to prevent soil erosion. Predator insects love it! Provides lots of organic matter when dug in green creating hummus rich soil. Suitable for all soil types, dig or plough in at anytime during the growth cycle. Blend contains oats, barley and wheat.

North Island: You can sow slightly later (April–early May) due to milder winters.
South Island: Aim for March–April to allow enough establishment before cold sets in.
