A member of the parsley family, but more delicate in flavour with a subtle taste of licorice or aniseed. The fern-like leaves are often used as a garnish.
One of the fine herbs of French cooking to season poultry, seafood, soups, sauces and omelettes.
Plants prefer a cool growing season and will run to seed quickly in hot weather.
Also known as French parsley.
