Well known for the way its leaves and blossoms, either dried or fresh, are relished by cats. The intoxicating effect is reserved only for felines, but a tea made from the leaves has long been used by humans as a gentle relaxant and digestive aid.
If the plant is pinched back as soon as the first flowers appear, many harvests of leaves can be obtained.
Stratify: Chilling seeds in the fridge for 2-3 weeks prior to sowing will promote germination by breaking seed dormancy.
Surface Sow: Requires light to germinate. Scatter seed on the surface. Press seed down into the soil. Keep moist.
