Old fashioned aquilegia with deep, burgundy-red double flowers that resemble ruffled pompoms when fully open. With its profusion of blooms and stiff upright stems, it makes both a great cut flower and a useful border plant.
Lady Nora Barlow 1885-1989 was a noted British botanist, geneticist and head keeper at London Zoo. She was the granddaughter of naturalist Charles Darwin.
