Add depth and colour to your salad creations with this attractive and tasty Amaranth. Harvest young leaves for salads or when left to mature the seeds can also be harvested for grains. Originating from Central and South America but also found in many Asian cuisines. Amaranth has good tolerance to very hot and dry conditions. The vivid purple/red foliage and seed head can also be an attractive feature in flower gardens and arrangements.
